Various Acts of Kindness

This post will contain some of the acts in memory of Luke emailed to me by various people on August 19.

1. Kaitlyn Dudek and family
"So we went to the rehab and recovery hospital in York to deliver some cookies to the nurses there. I gave them the note and explained what we were doing and why and they were really appreciative, especially one nurse, started tearing up and said she had dealt with addiction in her family and understood what you guys are going through. They all told me to offer you and your family their condolences. Right after that we headed over to visit my grandmother and when we walked in she was sitting around the table playing cards with her old people friends all in their wheelchairs and they had just finished playing Phase 10 and were about to start a game of Rummy. I couldn't believe it. ❤️"




2. Tiffany Catherman
"My household doesn't like tortillas that are usually used in enchiladas, but they love this enchilada dip that I make so I made it for my household tonight thinking about how your blog said that he made some kick ass enchiladas."
                               


3. Amy Hecht
"We are praying for your family. Phase 10 for Luke. It was the least we could do for him."

"Bella gave Gatorade to the ocean city fire department and told them all about her dad."

5. Justin Baker
"My wife , Jamie, and I got to give the Indiana Police Gatorade today. The gentleman I am shaking hands with knows the Williams family through Luke's sister. I thank the Williams family for the great idea to honor a dear friend and our local police. God bless."

"Dear Luke, happy birthday today after so much time I started to pray and went to church.... memories about us and our friendship are up alive and indelible.... remember when we were working on the pavement under the statue of Madonna Of the nuns and you beat me (in friendship) because I made you angry?? and of all the masses we made with the carmelite of loreto?? I don't know where you are now but still watching over us, we will always bring you In the heart.... today is the birthday of the house of loreto where we met, today was the right day to start to pray and carmelo was definitely the right place to think about you and our friendship, I love you wherever you are."

"I sent a pack of Snickers to St. Mary's with a friend who attends there. Also just dropped off Gatorade to our local police. The notes asked them to enjoy them in memory of Luke in honour of his birthday!"

Hello, and welcome to our blog. July 15, 2017, our brother Luke passed away. After ten years clean, he sadly succumbed to his heroin addiction and overdosed. August 19, 2017 would have been Luke’s 34 th birthday. There is a space in all of our hearts that will be missing Luke on this day.   We  propose that we use our heartbreak to better this world! Ideas to Honor Luke

      Below are ideas to honor Luke on or around August 19th. After each idea, there is an explanation you can copy and paste, customize, and print to give to the person/people for which you are doing the act of kindness. Hi, I'm Grace, the 7th sibling in the Williams family. I thought I'd share a little of what we did yesterday in honor of Luke. Soon we will post some of the awesome things other people did as well!  I started off Luke's birthday in the Chicago O'Hare airport, on my way back from visiting my sister Laura. We were waiting for our flight when midnight came, and I got a chance to go off by myself for awhile and talk to Luke.
